New “Games Under $20” Promotion Hits PlayStation Store

August 17, 2022 by Todd Black

Get ’em while they’re cheap!

Look, when it comes right down to it, we’re not made of money (or at least, some of us aren’t) and that means that when it comes to video games, we have to often pick and choose how many we can buy at one time. With more AAA titles ranging anywhere from $50-$70, that can drain a fun budget very quickly. Most gamers tend to look for sales at physical stores or places like Amazon, but the PlayStation Store can also offer some serious deals. A new “Games Under $20” event has just started, and it isn’t a sale to miss.

The promotion is live right now and will be going on until the 31st. The list of games, DLC, and special content packs is so massive that it’d fill up this article, so instead, we’re going to list a few games that we feel you should check out. Be sure to check out the full list yourself to see if something else pops out to you.

First, we have Alan Wake Remastered. This is a classic title in the minds of many because of its use of story, game mechanics, and horror. Players step into the shoes of Alan Wake as he attempts to find his lost wife after she disappears on a vacation. As you go through the nearby town, you find pages to a book you allegedly wrote, and the darkness of the town tries to take you. The game is in its best form now, and with a sequel on the way, you’ll want to play this version before it comes out.

If you’re wanting a little more bang for your buck, how about Bioshock: The Collection? With this under $20 title, you’ll get the ability to play three games all in one shot, two of which are major titles in gaming history. The franchise as a whole was a very respected one from the moment it came out, and by the time Bioshock Infinite came out, they made it clear that they know how to make great games. So if you’ve never had the chance to play them before, here’s your chance.

Our final recommendation is the Star Wars Jedi Deluxe Edition. This title shocked many with its deep and difficult take on the universe of Star Wars by telling a fresh story with new characters while also having ties to the movies. The game is lauded and is also one that will be getting a sequel soon enough.

There are TONS of other games you should check out on this PlayStation Store list. So check it out for yourself and get gaming!
