Arkham City Users Reporting Missing Catwoman Codes

October 19, 2011 by Mat Growcott

Business plan: block off important story missions without code, forget to provide codes

Remember those Arkham City codes that I wasn't paticularly impressed with? The codes that unlock 10% of the games story missions, the missions in which you play as Catwoman. There's a new entry in the saga. It seems that several users are having DLC issues, with some reporting that a code wasn't even printed on the slip in the box.

Reported by several sites and acknowledged by the game's official twitter, this mistake indicates exactly why this method of punishing the second hand market is a bad idea. Today, hundreds of full price users will be getting gimped versions of the game. Sure, some of them will get replacement codes if they report it, others probably won't.

I can appreciate that developers like people to buy new, I know all the evils of buying second hand – but there has to be a better way, folks.
