KOEI TECMO announced today that its upcoming title, Arslan: The Warriors of Legend will launch on PC via Steam simultaneously with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, on February 9. The title, announced last year as only for consoles, is billed as a “tactical action” game.
Players who purchase the title within a month of its release will also get some bonus content. This includes the ‘Conflict at Gujarat Fortress’ and ‘Battle for the Title,’ two new original scenarios for the game’s Free Mode. The base game will also include several other bonus scenarios meant to please fans of the anime.
The game is based on the anime series The Heroic Legend of Arslan, which was adapated from the original 1980s novel series. The books, manga, and anime follow the story of a young crown prince of Pars, and his exile from his kingdom when his father is betrayed and killed. The publisher says that the videogame adaptation “seamlessly blends the fast paced tactical action gameplay indicative of the Warriors franchise with a stunningly engaging narrative,” along with using a cel-shaded art style and basing all character design on the anime series.
Arslan: The Warriors of Legend will release on February 9, 2016, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
