Halo 5: Guardians Update Adds Forge Mode and Tons of New Stuff

December 10, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

An upcoming update to Halo 5 will add a truckload of new content.

343 is releasing a new update for Halo 5: Guardians next week. Completely free, the update is set to include new content for players to enjoy and is dubbed the Cartographer's Gift.

The update adds the highly anticipated Forge mode, allowing players to create their own multiplayer maps to play in online. It offers over 1700 different objects and prefabricated items to place into maps, making room for plenty of new gameplay experiences online.

Additionally, the update will add four new maps, including a large Warzone map. There's also a new rocket launcher and a ton of new REQs you can purchase with in-game currency (or real money).

Finally, the patch will reduce the size of Free-for-All mode from 8 players to 6 and add Seasons, a rank-based league similar to those in other competitive games. Check out all the changes in the chart below.
