Sierra Games, the California-based developer behind the revival of King’s Quest, has announced that the game’s second episode will release on December 15, 2015. The studio has also released an announcement teaser video, which can be viewed below. While no gameplay is shown, the trailer does show the titular King Graham being taken away by Goblins on what appears to be a mattress, while he begs his captors unconvincingly to release him at once. The trailer features the playful, comedic music and tone expected from King’s Quest.
The video’s description reveals a few more details about the episode’s plot: “In this latest adventure, King Graham takes players back to his first test as ruler of Daventry. When a mischievous horde of goblins takes his kingdom hostage, a newly crowned & woefully unprepared Graham must rise up to free his people & prove himself the leader he was destined to become.”
If you’re unsure about the episodic adventure title, but have PlayStation Plus, you can download the first episode for free during the month of December. The episode is usually $9.99 otherwise. The second episode will most likely be priced similarly.
King’s Quest – Chapter 2: Rubble Without a Cause releases December 15, 2015, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
