WB Montreal is hiring for two new games set in the DC Comics universe. The company posted on their website seeking developers to work on two newly announced AAA projects. The games, according to the studio, are “focused on expanding the DC Comics Universe in the interactive space.” All 11 jobs available can be found on their website, and include varying roles, from gameplay programmer, to audio designer, to senior animator.
There were rumors back in June of a new open-world game for consoles set in the DC Comics Universe. At the time, it was speculated the title could also be part of a brand new IP. It has been widely suspected that the studio, who developed Batman: Arkham Origins, was working on a Suicide Squad game. With the large amount of new hires, the candidates for the two projects could be anywhere from Superman, to the Suicide Squad or the Justice League. It is also suspected that Rocksteady, the studio behind the three main Arkham games, is working on a Superman game as well.
Batman: Arkham Origins was released in 2013. We thought it was familiar, and while not as impressive as Arkham City or Arkham Knight, considered it a competent Batman game.
