Naruto Storm 4 will have a free roaming adventure mode, which seems to be the starting point to exploring other modes and features. I've written down a spoiler free rundown of the latest scan about this below.
You will be able to freely travel between the Hidden Leaf and Hidden Sand villages, and you can possibly also go to other ninja villages.
One of the missions you get seem to be set after the main story, so its possible free roaming won’t be available until you go through the campaign.
There are also special timed events where you fight enemies in different rankings; namely, Genin, Chuunin, and Jounin. These may be controlled by other players, or using the AI ghost system from Naruto Revolution. Of course, Cyberconnect2 will clarify these details later.
Finally, the scan ends with a tease for DLC, although it does not specify what the DLC will have. Given the licensor’s seeming willingness to give Cyberconnect2 a free hand in picking from anywhere in the Naruto anime universe, Naruto Storm 4 could see a steady stream of DLC for months, even a few years, if they wanted it.
