Destiny Commemorates Halloween With Festival of the Lost Event

October 26, 2015 by Olga Lexell

Players can buy masks featuring various Destiny characters.

Update: We've put together a guide for the Festival of the Lost event.

Destiny just kicked off a Halloween-themed in-game event. Festival of the Lost will continue for the rest of the week.

The event allows players to fill up a candy bag and use it to trade in for a mask. The masks are various Destiny characters, like Skolas, Oryx, Atheon, and others.

The bags also contain consumable items like Paper Glue, Flight of Shadows, and a Jackolyte (a Jack-o-Lantern). The candy bags can be refilled by getting kills while wearing the mask.

While the rare masks will disappear once the event ends, players can upgrade them to Legendary items using a glue item that can be obtained from reward packages. Masks can be taken apart for paper, which can then be traded in for a new rare mask. Legendary masks can also be obtained right out of the bag without having to pay money.

In addition to the masks and consumables, there are also a number of new Halloween-themed emotes and dances, which include a "Boo!" gesture, a "Zombie" dance, and a "Monster" dance.

Check out our guide.
