A new trailer for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R showcases the character Mohammad Avdol and his Stand “Magician’s Red”.
Avdol is introduced as a friend of Joeseph Joestar, but he didn’t make his first appearance until Stardust Crusaders where he became a key part of the team alongside Jotaro Kujo.
Avdol is a powerful fighter and makes use of his fire-manipulating stand Magician’s Red to burn opponents, his Stand takes the form of a red humanoid salamander.

The trailer shows Mohammed with a variety of projectile moves at his disposal, including one that appears to disappear in the ground to surprise opponents. What’s most interesting is that one of his ultimate moves appears to be a counter where he side-steps the blow and consumes his opponent in a tornado of fire.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R features unique combat where players weave attacks between their actual body and the attacks of their Stands. Stands are psychically generated by the fighters that wield them and provide powers beyond what humans are capable of.
Bandai Namco has been rapidly releasing character trailers in anticipation of the game’s launch later this year. Other featured characters include Johnny Joestar and Johnathan Joestar (I promise! They’re different people) as well as series villain Dio.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is set to release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 1st, 2022.
