Journey Composer Posts Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Music

October 22, 2015 by Michael Fossbakk

Just one day before Syndicate’s release.

Austin Wintory, composer of many games such as The Banner Saga and Journey, for which he earned a Grammy nomination, has posted a few tracks from his work on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

Today, Wintory posted the below track entitled “Death Is Now A Welcome Guest,” which features vocal work from Holly Sedillos. Furthermore, Wintory said of the track, “[T]his excerpt is a partial answer to those asking about music during the open world / free roam [sic].”

Excited & a little nervous to announce I sang on this fantastic score! The game & soundtrack are released tomorrow! https://t.co/QqqUxyF2O3

Earlier this month, Wintory posted another track from Syndicate’s soundtrack entitled “Top Hats and Sword Canes,” which can be heard below.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was officially announced last May and will be released tomorrow, Oct. 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC version will be released on Nov. 19. Reviews for the game have already started coming in and are generally positive with most scores between eight and nine out of 10. You can check the latest trailer for the game here.
