Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate PC Release Dated, No Framerate and Resolution Locks

August 26, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Ubisoft has revealed new details about the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

Ubisoft has announced that the upcoming Assassin's Creed Syndicate is coming to the PC on November 19, less than a month after it's released on the PS4 and Xbox One.

As for why it's coming a bit later than its console counterparts, the Studio Production Manager at Ubisoft Kiev, Sam Kovalev, explains that the development team intends to use the extra time to ensure that PC gamers get "the most stable, optimized version of the game on day one."

This would certainly prevent the game from being as badly polished as Arkham Knight was for the PC.

“We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project,” says Kovalev. “This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year.”

Despite having these new processes in place and everything running on schedule, the team says that they want to give Syndicate an extra coat of polish before releasing it.

“The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalize all of the polish and optimization, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one,” says Kovalev.

Ubisoft is quick to state that the PC version of the game will not have a framerate or resolution lock, but its system requirements will target 1080p and 30fps. If you have a beefy enough system, you'll be able to play it at 60fps and above.
