Codemasters has unearthed the latest video for the upcoming Overlord: Fellowship of Evil, an action RPG set in the same universe as the previous Overlord games. Up to four players can team up to kill things.
The video serves as a public information film teaching the NetherghÅ«ls the intricacies of being evil, which involves more than heaving around a big sword and wearing pointy shoulder pads. To be truly nefarious, one must consider the killing, the pillaging and many other important aspects, including the “ever popular evisceration and immolation of your colleagues”.
“The NetherghÅ«ls in Overlord: Fellowship of Evil are a real bunch of ne’er-do-wells, as you’d expect from an Overlord game,” said Carl Johnson, Codemasters. “They’re as likely to stab each other in the back as they are to work together.”
“Evil is about more than just looks, it’s a way of life,” said Gnarl, Evil Minion Master. “There’s the carnage! And the looting! And the running-away-very-fast-avoiding-horrific-death.”
The game is penned by Overlord and Tomb Raider scriptwriter Rhianna Pratchett.
The game is slated for release on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 on October 20. Players who grab it on Steam before its release will get some free Team Fortress 2-themed hats for their minions, and a digital art book.
