Batman: Arkham Knight and Mortal Kombat X have both sold over 5 million units worldwide. A new report surfacing in The Wall Street Journal states that the Warner Bros. division publishing video games has been vastly more successful than its movie division.
Lego Jurassic World trailed slightly behind at four million units.
"In the past few years, the studio has shot to the top, thanks to major hits including Batman: Arkham Knight and fighting game Mortal Kombat X, which have each sold more than five million units globally," wrote the WSJ.
Batman: Arkham Knight appeared at the top of charts upon its release earlier this year, despite hiccups with the PC version, which was pulled from Steam. The game will be available for purchase once again on the PC by the end of October, when Rocksteady releases an update adding highly-requested features by PC gamers, including visuals supporting up to 60 frames-per-second.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is also working on a new expansion for the game called Catwoman's Revenge, which takes place after the main story.
