Star Wars Battlefront runs at 60 frames-per-second on both Xbox One and PS4 at the cost of a slightly lower resolution. The game runs at 900p on the PS4, and at 720p on the Xbox One instead of a full 1080p on either.
The game's technical director Johan Andersson said on Twitter that the priority of the developer is to put framerate over resolution.
"Frame rate and fidelity is indeed king; don't want to sacrifice it for resolution. But a choice each game team does," he wrote.
A technical analysis of Battlefront's beta revealed that the game does indeed run at 60fps, although this framerate can dip to sub-60 numbers during intensive moments, but only on consoles. PC gamers with powerful gaming rigs shouldn't experience any problems.
Star Wars Battlefront is expected for release on November 17 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. The game's beta has currently been extended to October 13, so be sure to try it out before then.
