Star Citizen’s Single Player Campaign Squadron 42 Features Gary Oldman

October 10, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Gary Oldman stars in the first trailer for the game’s single-player campaign.

Cloud Imperium Games has released a new trailer of their upcoming space sim/online multiplayer space game Star Citizen at CitizenCon, a convention dedicated to the game.

The trailer features none other than Gary Oldman delivering a speech to some future United Nations for the game's single-player campaign, Squadron 42. Other actors appearing in the campaign include Wing Commander veteran Mark Hamill, Gillian Anderson, Rhona Mitra, Andy Serkis and John Rhys-Davies.

In the trailer, Gary Oldman plays a character named Admiral Bishop, who delivers a speech urging the humans to war against the vandals, who are encroaching on human space. Beyond his presence in big screen Hollywood movies, Oldman has produced voice acting for Viktor Reznov in Call of Duty: Black Ops and plays the role of Lord Vortech in Lego Dimensions.

Star Citizen has received up to $91 million in crowdfunding and is planned for a 2016 release.
