GOG Invites Gamers to Design a Character in Divinity: Original Sin 2

Larian Studios' Kickstarter campaign for Divinity: Original Sin 2 is almost at an end, and GOG.com is inviting players to help design a unique, in-game character for the RPG.

GOG.com backed the game on Kickstarter for $10,000, giving them the chance to design a character. Instead of doing it on their own, GOG.com is inviting gamers to come up with a backstory and private motivations for the character.

Fans are invited to submit ideas for the upcoming character on this page. 

To make sure the submissions are of high quality and not out of sync with the game's lore and setting, Larian Studios is providing official character guidelines to work with, just like the ones they use in official development. 

The game's Creative Director Sven Vincke will be participating on the GOG.com forums to weigh in and look at what players are talking about, all to design three final characters that combine the best ideas submitted by fans. Each will have official concept art and a backstory. 

These three characters will then be voted upon by the public. The winner will make it into the game.
