Destiny: The Taken King’s Japanese Ad is Strange and Wonderful

September 10, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

The latest ad for Destiny comes from Japan, and it’s well worth the watch.

Japan has a history of strange and wonderful advertisements, and the latest ad for Destiny is no exception. Exclusive to the PS4 in Japan and promoted by Sony, the ad is completely different from everything we've seen of the game's advertising so far.

Featuring a man dressed as a Guardian making "whoosh" noises with his mouth while he takes off his helmet, the ad is genuinely amusing and I'd be surprised if it didn't get more than a few Japanese gamers to pick up and play the game.

Bungie recently released the 2.0 mandatory update for Destiny, which added a host of new features and changed the way some core systems worked in the game ahead of the release of The Taken King expansion.

Here's how much space you'll need to install the game, which comes out on September 15 across PlayStation and Xbox platforms. It's exclusive to the PlayStation in Japan, however.
