Players of Destiny: The Taken King will be getting exclusive content if they buy the game for the PlayStation, Sony has revealed.
Players on the PS3 and PS4 will get an exclusive strike mission called Echo Chamber, which takes place on Venus. The Vex are still attempting to summon Sekrion, the Nexus Mind, which the players originally defeated during the original Destiny strike called The Nexus. To stop the Vex from summoning him, the Guardians will have to defeat a boss called the Restorative Mind.
I have no idea what any of that means, and I doubt any other Destiny player does, either. In any case, what it does mean is that PlayStation players can enjoy an exclusive Strike that lets them take on some new challenges and hopefully get rewarded for it if the RNG gods are feeling generous.
The easiest level for the strike is level 36, so you'll be able to attempt it before you hit the level cap.
Echo Chamber will be available to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One players next fall, so PlayStation players will be able to boast about having it for a year ahead of everyone else.
In addition to Echo Chamber, PlayStation players will also gain access to a crucible map called Sector 618, and an exotic weapon called the Jade Rabbit.
