Why the Metal Gear Solid V Servers are Down

September 1, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Konami has revealed that some of the features for MGS V have been disabled because the servers are down.

The servers for the recently released Metal Gear Solid V are currently experiencing connectivity issues, Konami has said.

In a host of tweets, the studio says that they are aware of how many players are experiencing server connection issues, and as such, they have taken some temporary measures to remedy the issue.

According to Konami, the display of information regarding win/loss, points, supporting/supporters, and heroism have been temporarily disabled for the FOB Mission list.

Additionally, the number of missions listed in the online combat deployment menu has been decreased, presumably to alleviate the server load.

Konami says that they are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and will be working hard with "all parties" to bring all of these features, which have been temporarily disabled, back as soon as possible.
