New Game + is the 16th and final free DLC for CD Projekt RED's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and it's available now on all platforms.
The developer has been releasing new content almost every week since the game launched back in May and players have gained access to new quests, armour, weapons, and alternative appearance packs for Geralt, Yennefer, Triss, and Ciri.
“We’ve been releasing free DLCs since launch, and today’s release of New Game +, the 16th and last of them, marks a special moment for us and, I hope, for all Wild Hunt fans as well. They can now restart their adventure and see how the story turns out if they make different choices than on their first play-through,” Marcin IwiÅ„ski, CD Projekt Red's co-founder commented in a press release. “I’d like to extend my thanks to all the gamers who played our game and gave these DLCs a try. Nothing makes a developer happier than seeing gamers have fun with what they created,” IwiÅ„ski added.
He also said he hopes this type of DLC practice becomes the industry standard instead of the exception to the rule. That being said, the development team is currently working on two new expansions for The Witcher 3, both of which are paid DLCs.
Wild Hunt's New Game + mode allows Geralt to begin again with all of the abilities and equipment he ended the game with originally but offsets that advantage by introducing much more powerful enemies.
