Sony has shared a new trailer for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.
Nathan’s tale should not need much introduction, but this trailer serves to tell his story, as opposed to the story of Nathan’s quests for Sir Francis Drake’s secrets and treasures.
And what is Nathan? A thief, an adventurer, at heart, a thrill seeker? The story that seems to be told is the man who manages his narrow escapes and gets out unscathed again and again – perhaps an allusion of things to come with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Bluepoint Games’ work in porting these games isn’t as extensive as, say, the work on Halo The Master Chief Collection or Gears of War Ultimate Edition, and it shows. They do take advantage of the PlayStation 4’s performance capabilities, with noticeably higher framerate, and increased graphic quality and lighting. However, Microsoft’s work on their core franchises reworked those games from the ground up.
In any case, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection doesn’t look like a lazy port, just much less than what you may have expected.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be released on October 7 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
