Destiny Cheaters Will Be Addressed This Week, Says Bungie

August 12, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Bungie plans to address the cheating issue this week.

Believe it or not, there are cheaters in Destiny. Yes, even console games can't escape the plague of jerks who threaten to ruin everyone else's fun by breaking the rules.

In response to their activities, more than a few of them will be banned this week, Bungie has announced. The studio only recently handed down some temporary bans to players who exploited network tricks, and they will be doing so again.

The game's community manager says that the team at Bungie will reveal some new information on the bans they plan to issue in the next weekly update.

"Just met with the Bungie Security Response Team for an hour. Expect more information on Crucible Justice in the next weekly update," he wrote on Twitter.

It's unknown what their plans are at this moment, but we can definitely expect to see them handing out more bans and fixing security issues with Destiny so the Crucible doesn't turn into a mess every time a cheater decides to join the fray.
