Forza 6 Trailer Showcases Night Racing, Rain, and New Multiplayer Features

August 4, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Blast off with Forza 6.

No Microsoft conference is complete without the inclusion of Forza. The upcoming Forza 6 was showcased at the publisher's Gamescom 2015 conference today, where a new trailer showcased the game's weather system and night racing.

Forza 6, which releases this year on Xbox One, will be the first title in the long-running racing series to feature night racing as well as weather effects like rain.

Rain is more than just a visual effect and affects how cars handle on the road.

Additionally, the trailer gives viewers a look at a new multiplayer mode called Forza Race Leagues, which sees groups of players equal in skill pitted against each other in online divisions. The mode allows players to schedule their races ahead of time and offers leaderboards and credit rewards for participants, similar to Halo 5's leaderboard system.

The game is set for release on September 15, exclusive to the Xbox One.
