Victor Vran, the cooperative action RPG from independent Bulgarian developer Haemimont Games, officially launched on PC today and has a launch trailer to accompany it.
In Victor Vran, you play as a demon-hunter who has decided to protect the city of Zagoravia and its citizens from demons that have run amuck and whose origin is a mystery. Since you are playing as the titular character, there are no differing classes as in most RPGs, but rather the progression system is based on acquiring new and better gear.
The game also sports 400 different challenges and was created with replayability in mind in addition to the 20-hour campaign. Replayability will also come in the form of free updates and additional DLC packages. Haemimont Games is currently working on the first three free DLCs and support for local co-op play. The planned DLCs are as follows:
- The Tome of Souls DLC will introduce a brand new weapon type that unlocks new active abilities and a spellcaster playstyle. Of course, there will be legendary tomes of forbidden words and endless power, such as The Nekonomicon and Fifty Shades of Slay.
- The Highlander Outfit DLC will open even more character build options and an exciting new look for the title character.
- The Cauldron of Chaos DLC will add a huge new map which will offer a randomized layout, encounters and daily challenges.
- A Local Co-op multiplayer mode will allow two players to play together on the same system.
