Two and a half weeks into Albion Online’s Summer Alpha 2015, developer Sandbox Interactive has released some fairly impressive numbers: They’ve got over 15,000 players in 145 countries, and those players are giving lots of feedback on how the game can be improved. Some of their suggestions have already been implemented.
Sandbox Interactive has released a new content patch as well, opening the Deadlands area to players. This new, eerie landscape is full of new PvP clusters, and players can find rare T7 and T8 resources. Guilds will now have over 20 new territories to conquer as well. One of the dungeons in the Deadlands is host to a new boss; take up to 9 others with you and try to defeat the Demon Prince of Albion’s Morgana faction. You’ll also encounter the Demon imps and Demon Horrors.
With player participation reaching new heights, this update brings with it new gameplay opportunities for the advanced players to enjoy. If you’d like to get in on the action, there’s still time for you to join the Summer Alpha! Become a Legendary or Epic Founder of Albion Online to gain access. Albion Online launches as a free-to-play MMO for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android in Q1 2016.
