Tales of Innocence R Makes Appearance at Tokyo Games Show

September 14, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

Tales of Innocence R will be getting a release on the PlayStation Vita next year, and will be available in playable form at the TGS this year.

Namco Bandai's Tales series of JRPGs has been a long-celebrated fixture in the gaming world, at least in Japan, where they seem to be more popular than the first person shooters that get released every other week in the West.

Not one to be left out of Sony's huge PlayStation Vita launch, Namco Bandai has just put up a countdown website for "Tales of Innocence R," which is scheduled for release sometime in 2012. The game will be available on display as well as playable at the SCE booth at this year's Tokyo Games Show.

Like many other recently announced games, we regret that the only thing currently available of the game is its red logo. It remains to be seen whether Tales of Innocence R is simply a re-release of Tales of Innocence for the Nintendo DS, or a true follow-up.
