Square Enix today announced that Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released in early 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
During Square Enix's E3 press conference, the development team discussed the aug-only ghettos under police supervision where most of the world's augmented people live in the game. Described as "mechanical aparthied", returning protagonist Adam Jensen does not live in one of these ghettos, but rather works for a special division of Interpol which works to take down augmented terrorists around the world.
However, Jensen is working as a double agent within Interpol to take on the Illuminati which he believes has infiltrated the organisation. Eidos says it hopes to create "one of the best action RPG experiences out there".
Mankind Divided's trailer was captured in-game, the developer confirmed.
