Crackdown and Scalebound will not make an appearance at E3 this year and instead will be front and center at Gamescom in Germany, Microsoft announced in a post on Xbox Wire.
Writing on Xbox Wire, head of Xbox Phil Spencer also teased unannounced games that will be making their reveal at the German trade show.
“Rest assured that titles like Crackdown, Quantum Break and Scalebound will be front and center at gamescom[sic] along with new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10,” Spencer wrote in the post on Xbox Wire.
Spencer attributes having to bump these titles from the E3 lineup to not having enough time.
“Having a jam-packed lineup of games to show at E3 means that there simply isn’t enough time to give each of our upcoming titles its well-deserved time in the spotlight,” Spencer wrote.
Earlier this week, Remedy Entertainment’s creative director Sam Lake first announced that the Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break would not be at E3, and instead would be at Gamescom in August. In April, it was also announced that Quantum Break has been delayed from a 2015 release to a 2016 release.
As reiterated in Spencer’s post, first-party Xbox One games that can be expected to be seen at E3 this year include Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
