Horizon Forbidden West is one of the most hyped games of 2022 and any time a game is as hyped as Forbidden West is there are risks of leaks. Unfortunately, it seems as though a full PS4 build of the game has leaked online and is now spreading across social media.
According to VGC, the entirety of the game’s main content has been leaked online. The only things missing from the PS4 build that has leaked appear to be some art assets. Everything else is what the game will contain when it releases next month. The Horizon Forbidden West leaks seem to have first appeared on Twitter in the form of still images that were later removed at the request of the copyright holder.
Since the game has now leaked players will need to be on alert for any story spoilers that could also be leaked online ahead of the game’s launch. At the time of writing, it doesn’t appear as though the game has been posted onto torrent websites. However, with more than a month to go until the official release of the game, it’s safe to assume it will spread further. When Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were leaked two weeks ahead of time the games didn’t appear on torrent websites right away either. Regardless, the games did end up appearing on file-sharing websites ahead of the official release date.
Horizon Forbidden West is being developed for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Despite releasing on both consoles, the game is shaping up to be a major PS5 next-gen exclusive game for Sony. Depending on how much gets revealed, this leak could prove to be a disaster for the company.
Horizon Forbidden West is coming exclusively to the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 and will be released on February 18, 2022.
