Dungeon Siege 3 will be receiving a new lease on life with an upcoming DLC titled Treasures of the Sun. The game was released to a chorus of complaints, especially from PC gamers who bemoaned its poor controls and difficulties with the overhead camera.
The Treasures of the Sun DLC may not do much to fix issues with the game, but hopes to offer those who enjoyed it an extended experience with the introduction of a new plot, enemies and loot—assuming it wasn't content simply removed from the original game, only to be released later as paid content.
The DLC will take place in the Aranoi Desert, far from the Kingdom of Ehb in which the main storyline occurs. In addition to the new environment and loot that comes with it, the level cap is being raised to 35, compounded by new spells and abilities.
Square Enix promises "several additional hours of gameplay" with Treasures of the Sun, which is set for an October release on Steam, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live for $9.99.
