The development of the next Mass Effect title is well under way at BioWare's Montreal studios, and one of its developers, Chris Wynn, Senior Development Director of the game, shared an interesting tweet recently.
Fans of the series will be happy to know that the game appears to be making full use of the new-gen platforms' capabilities by offering graphics that go above and beyond what the previous titles in the Mass Effect franchise, hampered by the aged PS3 and Xbox 360, could offer.

He wrote: "Busy showing and telling the latest Mass Effect progress to the team. The amount of detail on the characters is insane."
His tweet confirms that the developers will be sparing no expense whatsoever on making sure the game's characters are as detailed as the platforms can possibly provide. Given how detailed the characters look in BioWare's other recent title, Dragon Age: Inquisition, it will be curious to see what they will look like in the upcoming sci-fi-themed RPG.
Hopefully, the game will offer a character creator that's as generously customizable as its medieval fantasy counterpart. We look forward to seeing players' renditions of Jon Snow and Dany Targaryen in space.
The game recently passed a 'significant milestone' in its development.
The next Mass Effect title is expected to be released on the PC, Xbox One and PS4. Details remain forthcoming.
