Delays are never fun to hear but are necessary for development studios. To deliver a solid product, a delay or two might be required. Unfortunately, fans of Elden Ring have to wait a bit longer before they can get their hands on the game. Today, we’re finding out that the game has been delayed. Fortunately, it’s not a massive delay pushing the game back multiple months or to an undetermined date. Instead, this delay will only move the game back by a month.
FromSoftware is hard at work delivering a new anticipated video game title into the marketplace. Elden Ring fans have been waiting on the title for quite a while, so hopefully, another month won’t be too much of a hit. The new release date for Elden Ring is February 25, 2022. This news comes directly from the Elden Ring Twitter account, which states that this game’s depth and strategic freedom have exceeded the studio’s initial expectations.
The tweet also continues by saying that there is a closed network test coming in November. We should see more details come out about the game during this closed test, but we’ll have to wait for the test to actually take place. While this game is being delayed, there is also bound to be more news in the coming months, along with footage.
For now, we’ll have to endure a few more weeks of waiting, and we’re sure Elden Ring fans itching to get a copy of the game are hopeful no more delay announcements pop up between now and February. At any rate, those of you who want to pick the game up can now expect Elden Ring on February 25, 2022, for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
