A new listing for Gravity Rush Remastered has appeared via the Korean games ratings board.
The game is rated 12+, which is equivalent to E10+ under the ESRB. It does seem like not much will change from the game, at least in terms of content that would require any ratings changes.
Gravity Rush is an action game originally released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012. You play Kat, a teenage girl who has lost her memory, and mysteriously acquires the ability to control gravity, thanks to running into a strange black cat. Kat rushes headlong into a gravity storm threatening the floating city of Hekseville, to fight the Nevi monsters inside it.
While you may be worried about the game’s touch controls translating to the PS4, it shouldn’t be that big an issue. First of all, core gameplay involves the R button and tilting or moving the analog stick, all of which can be replicated on the Dualshock 4. Not coincidentally, the Dualshock 4 also has a front facing touchpad. While moves like the Gravity Slide will need to be executed a little differently, these are not impossible to adapt.
More importantly, one wonders if fans will buy this game on PS4. While PS4 owners are proven willing to buy remasters of even recent games, as proven by The Last Of Us, Gravity Rush was a hard sell for the PlayStation Vita, and is likely to face the same skepticism as Tearaway Unfolded, another remaster from Vita to PS4 that Sony also announced but has yet to release.
