Naruto Storm 4: Climbing, New Displays, Destructible Elements Revealed

February 23, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Cyberconnect2 has recreated the feel of wire fu straight out of the movies.

We have new details on the movement in Naruto Storm 4, thanks to a translation of Vjump Magazine courtesy Shonengamez.

So, if you’re a fan of Japanese ninja movies, or even wu xia films, you must love when those films feature wire-fu. Everyone remembers the classic chase/ swordfight scene between Zhang Zhiyi and Chow Yun-Fat in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

So, Cyberconnect2 has recreated this for their latest Naruto game. There will be select stages where you will be able to run along cliffs and buildings.

Vjump describes a unique display which will show your and your opponents speed/gravity. This is likely to be a meter of some sort. However, something like a gauge, which would indicate when you’re running out of energy to climb, is not out of the question. For now, it’s not clear whether speed and gravity will have separate displays, or will be measured together.

Finally, you will be able to destroy parts of the battlefield, and even your enemies’ clothing. Cyberconnect2 promises that they have raised the bar with the power and graphics for this game.

Naruto Storm 4 will be releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows this year. You can see our source image below (Click to see full resolution).
