Steam Beta Client Now Features DLC Management System

February 5, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Manage your DLC with Steam’s new DLC management system.

Valve’s Steam beta client has been updated with a new feature that puts DLC information in your Library view, making it a lot easier to keep track of what downloadable content you own and have installed.

The new information box lists all of the DLC you own and tells you what you have installed.

Games like Borderlands 2 (pictured above) feature tons of DLC, and this latest update makes it a breeze for game owners to keep track of their purchases and allows them even the ability to enable or disable what content they have with the new “Manage DLC” function.

It’s a fantastic little feature that works well and plays well with the games currently available on Steam. Users of Skyrim Nexus Mod Manager will be instantly familiar with the system.

If you’d like to test the system out for yourself, simply head into the Steam settings menu, enter the Account tab, and change your Beta Participation setting to Steam Beta Update and you’ll be good to go.
