CabooseXBL has shared a new Q&A with new speculation on Batman: Arkham Knight. You can subscribe to his YouTube channel here.
The Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC had a lot of posters of Cadmus in the periphery. In the DC Universe, Project Cadmus was an ongoing US gov’t project to breed their own heroes, literally, via cloning and genetic manipulation. There is a possibility that this will be coming up in Arkham Knight. If the Knight himself isn’t a clone, he could still be connected to Cadmus in some way. I think it could be something like Cadmus funding the Knight, and providing him an all-clone army.
When you consider the trick Rocksteady pulled with Batman: Arkham City, there is a chance that Arkham Knight and the Scarecrow are not the true antagonists of Arkham Knight. Of course, Arkham City’s teasers led people to believe that Hugo Strange was pulling the strings in the game. (Note: I won’t reveal who it is here, play the game! J ) Caboose brings up the Court of Owls as a likely and logical final mastermind. Beyond Caboose’s speculations, though, I would not be surprised if there were even more plot twists and turns, that could leave fans speculating who is in charge until the last minute.
Catwoman is well-known to be an antagonist in the Batman mythos who occasionally works with him or other heroes, since she isn’t truly evil like other rogues. In turn, it is possible that some members of Bruce’s rogues gallery aren’t part of the giant army out to kill him in Arkham Knight. A fan brings up Deadshot, Deathstroke the Terminator, and Killer Croc, and, of course, there are even more villains and side character that could separate from that group, and fight on Batman’s side, or at least be fighting them as well as him.
On my end, I would bring up Poison Ivy, who has yet to be accounted for. While she has sworn to destroy Gotham, her interactions with Catwoman hint at the possibility that she could be turned. There is also the possibility that she could separate to independently pursue her personal agenda.
Lastly, Caboose is asked about Hush again, and he thinks it is possible to bring him in as pre-Arkham Knight DLC. Of course, based on the events in the main scenario, Hush wouldn’t have citizens to use against Wayne, so he’s unlikely to appear there.
