Escape Hatch Entertainment has announced a new space combat game, Starlight Tactics, planned for iOS, Android, PS4, Xbox One, Windows, Mac, and Linux.
The game is a sequel to Starlight Inception, the company’s original game on the Vita, and will also be a turn-based tactical game. Oddly enough, a Vita port of Starlight Tactics is not 100 % confirmed, as it is pending Unity 4.6 or 5.0 support for the system.
In any case, the game is the work of LucasArts veteran Garry Gaber, whose previous claims to fame were as project leader for Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds andStar Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns.
For the game premise, it is World War 4, surprisingly not coming up until a hundred years, after we have expanded to the stars. You will be able to command some of the Starlight universe’s largest ships, including United Star Force and Non-Aligned Nations Destroyers, Cruisers and Carriers. The game will have two campaigns and a quick match skirmish mode.
