See Until Dawn’s PSX Demo Without the Crowd Commands

December 16, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The QTE-heavy horror game without the audience’s chants.

Sony originally debuted this segment of Supermassive's rebooted horror game Until Dawn at the PlayStation Experience earlier this month. At the time, the whole affair took on a game show-like state with members of the audience yelling out what they wanted developer Pete Samuels to do next – the above video has been posted on the PlayStation Blog and removes the crowd chants, showing the full scene from the game.

From the footage it's clear that Until Dawn uses classic horror film tropes and we Hayden Panettiere's character Sam run around a dark cabin in a bath towel as a blood-soaked, masked attacker pursues her. There's also some distorted deep booming from a speaker and a bit of grizzly action.

You'll be able to save the cheerleader, and maybe the world (presumably through a QTE), as well as Until Dawn's other characters in 2015.
