Riot Games has revealed the details of their League of Legends holiday event, Snowdown 2014. The event starts today and is ongoing until January 6.
Snowdown introduces three new champions, the positiviely Frozen-esque Winter Wonder Orianna, Poro Rider Sejuani, and Snow Day Malhazar.
Winter Wonder Orianna uses a clockwork poro and swings snowflakes at her enemies, and especially at stray poros that bother her robo-poro. In turn, Sejuani takes to her gigantic war poro, swatting foes and throwing sugar coated donuts. Finally, Malzahar retains his floaty levitation powers, and picks up a posse of creepy void poros to help him terrorize otherwise revelry minded players.
And there's more, as there are new champion bundles with exclusive seasonal skins, based on holiday skins they made in previous years, as well as some ward skins and new mystery chests, which are like Secret Santa gifts you buy in-game.
And there's even more, as Riot introduces a new 5v5 event that will have you throwing poros at each other, called The Legend of the Poro King. Every fight you get into, you will find two poros following you. Each poro offers exclusive summoner spells, and if you luck out, will give you a chance to summon the Poro King himself. The beardly royal minion heals your team, generates you mana, and attacks your enemies, all while himself moving towards enemy bridges to destroy them. If you are on the bad side of the king, you will want to know that his power emanates from his moustache, because of course it does.
