Ubisoft has delayed the fourth major update to Assassin's Creed: Unity.
Fans may remember that Ubisoft expected this update to fix most of the issues associated with the game.
In their most recent update, Ubisoft had cited the importance of quality control, as something they valued, and something they found their consumers valued as well. It was with this rationale that they explain the decision to delay the update.
In a sense, Ubisoft may have been mistaken to promise so much of the fourth update, since they now found they aren't done putting in all the changes needed to deliver on that promise. Given the choices between a timely update, and delivering on that promise, they have opted for the latter. The fourth update comes without a timeframe, but will be released when it is ready.
As you can imagine, this did not go over well with fans, as you can read in this thread. Some fans were actually waiting on the patch, with the expectation that they would have a far more playable version of the game at this point.
We'll keep you updated on when the patch will release.
