A listing for Borderlands Remastered Edition has appeared rated MA15+ in Australia.
This is exactly the same rating the original Borderlands received, so if this really is in the works, it may have no new content, and merely bundle all the prior DLC along into one package.
The first Borderlands, released in 2009, started a rapid series of game releases, including sequels and spin-offs. The latest game made by Gearbox, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, came out just this year, and had fans wondering when Gearbox would be making the next game.
Really, this wouldn’t be it, but if Gearbox bundles the first two games, and maybe even the Pre-Sequel, it could be a worthwhile purchase to return buyers, as well as fans who only tried one of the games, or haven’t played one at all.
Of course, this did not need indicating, but a remastered edition would probably be planned for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and the series’ next official sequel must also be planned for these platforms in the future. We do know that Gearbox had been thinking about Borderlands 3 as early as 2012.
Would you be willing to buy Borderlands Remastered Edition if it was only the first game? Or do you think Gearbox should sweeten the pot by bundling all the main games in? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
