Monolith Soft talked directly to the fans following the latest Nintendo Direct to reveal that Xenoblade Chronicles X development is winding down.
Monolith Soft made this revelation on the game’s new website, which they made with Nintendo’s blessing after confirming from them that it would take Nintendo longer to prepare the official game site on their end.
Monolith Soft isn’t sure if Nintendo will make them replace their site with their own, but they went ahead anyway, perhaps because they could not hold their enthusiasm.
The staff is definitely in high spirits, and as further indication of their enthusiasm they have made a new Twitter account, @XenobladeJP, which they promise to update with new details on their own.
Nintendo has been notoriously tightlipped about since its initial announcement. Fans have been so hungry for news that they even follow the wife of Monolith Soft head Tetsuya Takahashi to seek out hints for when news will appear.
Monolith’s moves indicate that they are ready and willing to reveal news about the game on their own time. However, this may not necessarily be a sign that the game will be releasing soon. Regardless of when the game is ready to be released, Nintendo may opt to pick out the best date to release the game based on the timetable they have already set for 2015 for Wii U releases. This could be anything from January, to summer, to the holidays.
