A few days after Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS launched, a new mode called Conquest became available. The way the mode works, different character match-ups will run for a set legnth of time, and during that time, selecting to play as one of those characters in online matches will increase its usage percentage. At the event's end, the character with the higher percentage will result in rewards for players who picked him or her.
An issue with the mode has been that the percentages are always visible, so you simply choose the character with the commanding lead. To make Conquest more fair, Nintendo has just issued a Ver. 1.0.3 patch that, along with some minor game balancing tweaks, hides results until a particular event has ended. You can see what the fixed Conquest screen looks like over on NeoGAF.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is available now, while the Wii U version will arrive November 21.
