Overkill Software has plans to make Payday: The Heist available for free on Steam for one day, October 16.
This is to commemorate the game’s sequel, Payday 2, reaching 1.5 million in sales. The game will come up free on 10 AM Pacific, and will continue to be free for 24 hours after that. Apparently, fans will need to do some extra work to get the game free, as Overkill says they will share more details on how to get the game on that day.
Overkill also has an update planned for Payday 2, suspiciously labeled with the emoticon “;)”. Overkill claims the content has been unlocked, but they are not quite ready to reveal it yet.
