Bungie has announced that those who buy the digital version of Destiny on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 will, for a limited time, unlock a copy of the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
You have until January 15th, 2015 to take advantage of the deal meaning you've a few months if you're not yet ready to upgrade to current gen just yet.
Those looking to do so must buy the PS3 version to unlock the PS4 version and the Xbox 360 version to get access to the Xbox One version. There are no cross-platform offers.

To mark the game's launch next week, publisher Activision and YouTuber MoreConsole worked together to create a weather balloon that looks like Destiny's Traveler and you can watch it going up into orbit in the below.
Today Bungie announced that they're teaming up with Red Bull's skydiving team to celebrate and document the game's release while Sony detailed how Destiny will work on Vita via Remote Play.
Destiny launches on September 9th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
