Respawn Entertainment is made up of the developers who left Activision to feed on greener pastures—or Electronic Arts, to be exact. Their departure from the company was high-profile, and expectations are pretty high for the studio given their work on the Call of Duty series.
Sadly, it looks like the studio's first game isn't due until 2015.
Speaking at Develop, concept artist Ian McCaig says that the company won't have anything to show for a few more years.
"Thanks to the internet, you can take things and use them as you want, no matter what the law says about it. I think this means there will be a new way of using and sharing things," he said.
"I'm having the most fun working with Respawn Entertainment right now, and I hate that I can't show you guys what I'm doing there until 2015."
The game Respawn is working on is said to be a science fiction shooter. It remains to be seen what it actually is until they make a formal announcement. Hopefully, they won't take too long.
