Maxis has shared the details of the first update for The Sims 4. This update mostly has fixes for several issues.
Two issues caused crashes and have been fixed. One made the game think fences were rooms in Build Mode. The other issue made the game crash from Create A Sim after you locked and unlocked your PC.
One frustrating issue caused these unlockables to become unavailable after reloading:
· Shine on Men’s Suit
· Glitter and Abs
· Big Hat of Shame
· Star-Spangled Glasses
· Tiki Bar
One odd issue caused the game to stop responding when you tried to go on a date with The Reaper. The fix makes it less likely you will be hooking up with him, unfortunately.
Another issue stemmed from babies hibernating inside household inventories, clearly in error. Some of the effects made babies multiply, or locked in the inventory.
There are two new added features to make gameplay more intuitive:
If you go to Create A Sim from Manage Worlds, to add a new Sim to a household, you will now be able to modify that CAS’ face and body.
If you share a lot with scaled objects to the Gallery, the Gallery will remember their enlarged state. To scale an object, you need to press shift + [.].
There were two other issues in Gallery Mode that were dealt with. One did not allow you to load Live Mode after merging a Gallery household with another household. The other one made the game stop loading after you tried to save a lot to the library.
