Star Wars Battlefront: Space to Ground Combat? Yes Please

August 5, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The Force is strong with this idea.

Star Wars Battlefront is still some way off so hopefully, there's still plenty of time for DICE to listen to fan suggestions for what they might do in the game – if they're not doing it already, that is.

Our partner YouTube channel Battlefront News! has posted a new video discussing ground to space combat. The ability to start off in space and land on a planet to continue the fighting could be a separate mode but it would also work really well in Galactic Conquest or capture the flag modes.

An interesting idea but be to create a game mode which never ends, as in there's no time limit just all out warfare 24/7 with 32 vs 32 player matches or, if the technology is up to it, 64 vs 64. One advantage of this is that you wouldn't lose your kill streak because a game ends.

EA has said they hope to release close to Star Wars Episode VII in December 2015; they also have high expectations for the game saying it will be the "best" Star Wars game to date.
