Sledgehammer Games have given fans a fresh look at the T-740 Hovertank, as it appears in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
The tank was apparently present in the closed doors E3 presentation for Advanced Warfare, demoing the Biolab campaign mission. In said mission, you essentially steal the Hovertank out of a chemical lab.
The Biolab mission is intriguing in itself. The act of entering the lab and making your way towards the vehicle requires stealth, and so the invisibility feature was shown off in the demo. Players had a silenced rifle to discreetly take enemies out on the way to getting to the tank, and that’s where it gets crazy.
The hovertank itself has multiple cannons, gunners, etc. With it, you will be able to take down helicopters and even other tanks.
Sledgehammer Games has remained discreet about the tank and its abilities, so even that demo might not have hinted at what it is truly capable of. Of course, as it is now, it’s hard to believe this is something based off of real life military tech but that’s what Sledgehammer says.
