Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer and four new screenshots of an upcoming first person shooter from Streum On Studio called Space Hulk: Deathwing. The video showcases a trio of Space Marines as they defend against an onslaught of a Genestealer horde aboard a derelict Space Hulk.
This first person shooter is based on the classic Space Hulk boardgame in the universe of Warhammer 40,000, and is developed by the team behind E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy. Co-produced by Cyanide Studio, Space Hulk: Deathwing offers players a chance to experience the desperate battle against the Genestealers in the claustrophobic tunnels of a Space Hulk.
According to the press brief, “Space Hulks drift along the currents of the Warp, the immaterial dimension of Chaos. Made up of gigantic mangled asteroids, derelict ship wrecks and other spatial debris, they sometimes grow to the size of a moon and often contain treasured and ancient lost technologies. However, they are ripe with danger including infestations of the lethal Genestealers.”
Developed in the Unreal Engine 4, the game puts players into the role of a Librarian of the Deathwing, who’s a part of a squad of Deathwing Terminators. Players will earn new skills, new abilities and new equipment as they progress through the game. As a Librarian, players will be able to master the destructive powers of the Psykers in addition to their martial prowess. Your skills and performance in battle grant you Fervor Points, to spend on 4 skill trees allowing you to improve your abilities, unlock new powers, access powerful relics and devastating new weapons.
The game is set for release on PC and consoles.
